PERRY, FL

In 1950, Leroy & Louise Graves sold everything they had in Adel, GA and moved to Perry to follow their dream of opening a drive-in theater. Along with their three children, Roy, Edwina and Judy Graves they found the perfect location on US Hwy 221 and built the Graves Drive-In Theater. They also operated a concession with a full kitchen on the premises where they served fresh, hand patted hamburgers, homemade chili dogs, homemade slaw dogs, using their original recipes, as well as steak fries & onion rings. They only used the freshest and highest quality ingredients and their food quickly became a favorite of Perry residents and they soon became known for their FAMOUS GRAVES HAMBURGERS.

Customers would travel throughout the county and Florida to enjoy a great meal while watching the movies and others would call in their order, drive thru and take their food to go. Leroy & Louise operated the Graves Drive-In Theater for over 30 years then their family took over management for many years.

Later, the current restaurant was built on the property with hopes of keeping the original theater screen, but due to regulations, they were forced to remove the screen.

Graves Drive-In is owned & operated by David & Edwina (Graves) Pate and Judy (Graves) Hart. Come visit us and enjoy the same great food we served in the 1950s or try something new!
